Apply Now to submit your resume! *This is a 3rd shift, Sunday - Thursday position that will train on days*salary: $47,840 - $49,920 per yearshift: Thirdwork hours: 11 PM - 7:30 AMeducation: High SchoolResponsibilities Submerged Arc Welding (SAW): Set up, operate, and maintain automated sub arc welding equipment (weld tractors, manipulators) to produce high-quality, deep-penetration welds on heavy structural steel or industrial components. MIG Welding (GMAW): Perform manual MIG welding to join components, ensuring welds meet strength, dimensional, and aesthetic standards while minimizing distortion. Fabrication and Fit-up: Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings to align, clamp, and tack-weld parts into position prior to final welding. Process Control: Select correct wire, flux, and shielding gases; adjust voltage, amperage, and wire feed speed for optimal performance. Quality Inspection: Visually inspect welds and use measuring tools to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and welding procedures. Maintenance & Safety: Maintain welding equipment (guns, torches, wire feeders) in clean, working condition and follow all safety protocols, including the use of PPE and adhering to OSHA standards. Finishing: Use grinders and hand tools to remove slag, flux, and splatter, ensuring smooth surfaces.
