Fabrication & Assembly: Assemble heavy steel components based on blueprints and technical drawings, including fitting, tacking, and preparing parts for final welding. Laser Engraving Prep/Collaboration: Collaborate with technicians using advanced laser engraving machinesand plasma spray technology to ensure product meets exact dimensional and volumetric tolerances. Job Title: Forklift Operator (Metal Fabrication) Location: Atlanta, GA Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Monday – Friday) Pay: $18.00 per hour + Overtime (as needed)The Mission We are looking for a reliable, safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our metal fabrication team. In this role, you aren't just a driver—you are the heartbeat of the shop. You’ll be responsible for moving raw steel, aluminum, and finished fabricated parts to keep our production lines running smoothly.What You’ll Be Doing Heavy Metal Handling: Transport large steel plates, tubing, coils, and structural beams through the fabrication floor. Production Support: Ensure welders, laser operators, and fabricators have the materials they need, exactly when they need them. Loading/Unloading: Safely load and unload flatbeds and freight carriers. You must be comfortable with "unbalanced" or oversized loads. Daily Maintenance: Conduct pre-shift inspections on equipment to ensure hydraulics and tires are ready for heavy-duty work. Organization: Keep the yard and warehouse organized to prevent bottlenecks and safety hazards. Requirements Experience: 2+ years of forklift experience (Sit-down preferred). Experience in metal, timber, or heavy industrial environments is a major plus. Punctuality: Our shop starts moving at 7:00 AM sharp. We need someone who is ready to go at the whistle.
