job summary: A Safety Specialist is needed for a leading manufacturing organization in the northern Huntsville metro area. The Safety Specialist is responsible for maintaining and enhancing a comprehensive suite of safety programs to ensure a secure manufacturing environment. This role focuses on proactive risk mitigation, accident investigation, and the continuous improvement of workplace safety standards across all production groups. Candidates must demonstrate an ability to interpret and apply OSHA 1910.126 standards and possess experience with machine risk assessments and ergonomics analysis. Proficiency in managing Safety KPIs and a deep understanding of Safety Management Systems are essential for success in this position. Job Description: As a machine operator, you are in training. You will be responsible for assistance with preparing materials and managing product output. Monitor, maintain and adjust equipment that's used to create electronic circuits with surface mount technology (SMT)Build printed wire assemblies using various SMT equipment including by not limited to FUJI, MPM, Cyberoptics, Orbotechs and various types of ovens. Use equipment such as SMT stencils and foils, soldering equipment and 'pick and place' machines, to ensure the proper assembly and placement of components onto circuit boards. Set up various SMT parts on feeders and tear same down. You must comply with company safety rules and regulations regarding machinery operation and assistance.
