responsibilities:
- Operate and troubleshoot automated liquid handling platforms, particularly Hamilton systems, to process high-volume samples.
- Develop, optimize, and implement new automated laboratory methods and workflows.
- Perform DNA/RNA extraction, sample preparation for Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), and RT-PCR assays.
- Conduct sample quality control (QC), validation activities, and genomic/transcriptomic characterizations.
- Assist with scaling laboratory automation processes and characterization of engineered cell lines.
- Maintain strict adherence to laboratory SOPs in a BSL-2 wet lab environment.
qualifications:
Required:
- Strong wet lab molecular biology background with expertise in DNA/RNA extraction and RT-PCR.
- Hands-on experience with automated liquid handling platforms and high-throughput sample processing.
- Proven ability in method implementation, workflow optimization, and lab automation troubleshooting.
- Experience working within a BSL-2 environment following strict SOPs.
- Direct hands-on experience with Hamilton automation systems.
- Experience with NGS sample preparation and cell culture (especially CHO cells).
- Basic proficiency in Python, SQL, or Snowflake for scientific data analysis.
