responsibilities:
- Manage daily field operations for electrical construction projects to ensure all work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Provide direct oversight for the installation and testing of raceways, switchgear, transformers, low/medium voltage equipment, and instrumentation calibrations.
- Lead project safety initiatives by conducting regular audits, reviewing Pre-Task Analysis (PTA) documentation, and ensuring strict adherence to site-specific safety standards.
- Supervise subcontractor performance and contractual compliance, utilizing three-week look-ahead reports to identify and resolve potential scheduling conflicts.
- Interface professionally with clients, engineers, and vendors to build effective relationships and coordinate cross-functional project activities.
- Document daily construction progress through detailed field reports, progress photography, and the tracking of installed quantities versus work hours.
- Manage the quality control process by verifying material specifications, witnessing equipment settings, and maintaining as-built drawings and RFI responses.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams to validate craft qualifications and perform system walk-downs prior to hydrostatic testing and final restoration.
- Direct the efficient use of materials, tools, and project staffing while authorizing purchase requisitions and field design change requests as needed.
- Interpret complex isometric drawings, structural plans, and P&IDs to ensure field execution aligns with the most current project scopes and revisions.
