An Assistant Project Manager is needed for a leader in the world of Technical Services and Engineering in the New York, NY area. The position focuses on supporting a Project Manager with administrative tasks, progress monitoring, and client communication for electric, gas, or renewable energy projects.

responsibilities:
- Communicate regularly with the Project Manager to align on specific project needs and goals.
- Monitor project progress and track the completion or delay of various phases.
- Support the overall coordination and management of utility-based projects.
- Review meeting minutes and proactively follow up on outstanding action items.
- Perform administrative tasks including meeting scheduling and spreadsheet maintenance.
- Maintain and organize project documentation, reports, and technical records.
- Complete all tasks assigned by the Project Manager efficiently and within set timelines.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure project transparency.
- Apply engineering knowledge ideally in electrical, gas, or renewable energy sectors to project tasks.
- Previous experience with either Electric or Gas distribution experience to support our clients Project Managers is a Plus.
- Any Renewable Energy experience is a huge Plus and strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Highly organized and able to multitask.
- strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering in general is preferred but not required.
- 1-5 years of experience in project management or a similar role.
