An established Mining Operation is seeking a Commissioning Manager to join their site in Nipton, CA! You will bring 10+ years experience in industrial operations or commissioning in a fast paced environment. Lead the safety and efficient commissioning of new and existing equipment, processes and control systems. This position requires onsite field presence and will drive quality standards. responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end commissioning roadmap, defining clear system boundaries and managing the transition from mechanical completion to full operational status
- Oversee functional testing of electrical, automation, and process systems, including loop checks, energization, and the verification of control logic and P&IDs
- Finalize SOPs, facilitate knowledge transfer to the operations team, and confirm all training requirements are met
- Drive a culture of zero incidents by leading pre-startup safety reviews and enforcing strict adherence to LOTO, MOC, and regulatory permitting during high-risk startup phases
- Serve as the primary technical liaison between Engineering, Construction, and Operations to synchronize schedules and ensure field execution aligns with the original design intent
- Identify critical bottlenecks and technical risks, managing resolution and reporting progress to leadership to ensure an on-time, efficient startup
- 10+ years experience in industrial operations, construction or commissioning
- Demonstrated leadership in fast paced start up environments
- Solid knowledge in DCS/PLC and E&I systems
