An Assistant Facilities Manager of Data Center Operations is needed for a Data Center in Miami FL. The Assistant Facilities Manager will serve as the operational backbone of the facility, owning facility uptime, vendor accountability, and maintenance discipline. This role ensures peak reliability by managing the daily operational rhythm and serving as the primary incident responder for the facility.
Candidates must possess 3+ years of experience in data center or critical facilities management, with a working knowledge of HVAC, UPS, and electrical power distribution systems. This position requires a full-time on-site presence in Miami, a commitment to a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule, and the ability to author and execute detailed Methods of Procedure (MOPs). responsibilities:
- Own the daily operational cadence, including facility walkthroughs and environmental monitoring of power, cooling, and fire suppression systems
- Maintain and execute all preventive maintenance schedules with zero missed windows and no unplanned downtime
- Serve as the first responder for facility incidents, leading initial triage, coordinating resolutions, and communicating status reports
- Schedule and validate the work of critical infrastructure vendors, ensuring all deliverables meet safety protocols and contractual SLAs
- Produce daily shift reports and deliver structured root cause analysis (RCA) reports within 24 hours of any incident
