responsibilities:
- Responsible for timely preparation of commercial construction proposals and bids by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project logistics to compute labor, material, and time costs.
- Requires a background in standard estimating practices alongside significant experience managing complex preconstruction services, design-build projects, and conceptual estimating.
- Manages the complete subcontractor solicitation and vetting process, ensuring adequate trade coverage, accurate scope analysis, and effective negotiation on bid day.
- Collaborates internally with operations teams and externally with architects, engineers, and owners to present budgets, resolve constructability issues, and formulate value engineering strategies.
- Demands proficiency in estimating software such as PlanSwift, BlueBeam, and On-Screen Takeoff to deliver detailed quantity surveys across diverse sectors including healthcare, industrial, and high-rise structures.
