Our client, an industry-leading innovator in Wilmington, NC, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer. This hands-on role requires a BSME and 3+ years of experience with manufacturing equipment to lead system installations and drive engineering projects forward.

responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on mechanical support on the manufacturing floor during the construction, installation, debugging, and startup of automated systems.
- Supervise and direct internal technicians, maintenance staff, and external contractors through all phases of equipment conversion and testing.
- Review, modify, and finalize engineering documentation, including complete drawing packages, machine specifications, and installation checklists.
- Procure essential materials and assess the condition of existing equipment to ensure compatibility with new installation plans.
- Translate engineering requirements into effective process and equipment designs while actively troubleshooting and ensuring job site safety.
