The Algorithm Development Engineer would be responsible for serving as the primary technical authority for detection and tracking algorithms on current and next-generation Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) space payloads.Direct cross-functional teams and oversee algorithm development, testing, and integration into existing systems and space platforms.

responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary technical authority for detection and tracking algorithms on current and next-generation Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) space payloads.
- Direct cross-functional teams and oversee algorithm development, testing, and integration into existing systems and space platforms.
- Design, optimize, and implement high-performance, real-time algorithms for missile detection and tracking, specifically focusing on:
- Advanced filtering and estimation (enhancing detection accuracy and suppressing false alarms in cluttered environments).
- Target detection in complex, high-clutter scenarios.
- Trajectory estimation and state determination.
- Multi-target track custody and maintenance.
- Validate algorithm performance through high-fidelity simulation tools and real-world data analysis.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and methodologies in missile defense and tracking to drive continuous algorithm innovation and strategic engineering decisions.
