Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing, researching, and accurately inputting critical healthcare information into our systems according to specific regulations and business rules. Following a comprehensive training period, you will be expected to work highly independently, managing your own workflow and time to meet daily submission goals. Key Responsibilities Review incoming data requests, conduct necessary research, and submit systemic changes in strict compliance with regulatory and business guidelines. Read and process source documents—such as practitioner profiles and emails—and accurately input data into specific database fields. Compile, sort, and comprehensively verify the accuracy of all data before system entry. Cross-reference inputted data with source documents to detect, correct, and document any errors, escalating complex issues to supervisors as needed. Maintain detailed, up-to-date logs of all daily activities and completed work. Independently pull and manage daily assignments from dedicated work folders after completing the initial training phase. Performance & Workflow Expectations Independent Workflow: Must be highly self-motivated and capable of pulling and managing your own work assignments post training. Production Goals: Expected to submit a minimum of 8 completed submissions per 8-hour shift. (Note: This is a baseline metric and may adjust as business processes evolve). Required Qualifications & Skills Experience: 2+ years of professional data entry experience. Industry Knowledge: Must have recent experience in a healthcare-related position. Experience with health plans or provider-facing operations is required. Technical Proficiency: computer skills with hands-on experience using Microsoft Word and Excel. Core Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail, highly accurate documentation skills, and time-management abilities. Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
