Seeking a Quality Engineer for a high growth materials manufacturing client in the Fremont, CA area.
The Quality Engineer would be responsible for work directly with manufacturing and operations to solve manufacturing quality related problems and identify areas for improvement. Drive robust implementation of Manufacturing changes and execute PCNs, by reviewing, tracking and driving on time closure, by participating in Process Change meetings with all stakeholders in the organization.

responsibilities:
- Work directly with manufacturing and operations to solve manufacturing quality related problems and identify areas for improvement.
- Drive robust implementation of Manufacturing changes and execute PCNs, by reviewing, tracking and driving on time closure, by participating in Process Change meetings with all stakeholders in the organization.
- Generate and communicate key process change notification with key customers in a timely manner.
- Initiate and lead Quality Systems and other types of Internal Audits aimed at QMS improvement and adherence to the ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949 Standard requirements.
- Provide metrics regarding completion of CAPA's, Customer Complaints, and Action Items assigned to the organization to ensure timely and needed actions are completed and in place.
- Partner with the QA Manager to collaborate on Quality Improvement Programs by developing error proofing techniques.
- Collaborate with senior department staff to understand key manufacturing support systems such as device, gauge and instrument calibration and contribute to maintain the process as necessary.
- Partner with Engineering to ensure Corrective Action and 8-D reports are linked to Process and Product FMEA's and that FMEA's are reviewed and updated as required.
- Utilize and become proficient with software tools such as Minitab, Complaint Pro, JDE, Win Lims and Microsoft Office Suite and provide support with these tools to the organization.
- Participate in Customer Quality System Audits, Third Party Surveillance Audits, completing customer surveys with the QA group, and Management Review Meetings as required.
