Seeking an EHS Specialist for a high growth chemical manufacturing client in the Fremont, CA area.
The EHS Specialist would be responsible for Support EHS commissioning and startup of new manufacturing facilities while managing environmental permitting, RCRA hazardous waste, and regulatory reporting (TRI, Tier II, Air/Water). Implement key OSHA compliance programs (LOTO, Confined Space, HazCom), lead incident root-cause analyses, and drive ISO 14001/45001 management systems.

responsibilities:
- Facility & Equipment Startup: Support EHS commissioning, Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), Management of Change (MOC), and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs) for new manufacturing assets.
- Environmental Permitting & Compliance: Manage air, stormwater, wastewater, and hazardous materials permits. Oversee regulatory reporting (TRI, Tier II, RCRA waste, air emissions).
- OSHA & Safety Programs: Implement key OSHA compliance programs (LOTO, Confined Space, HazCom, PPE), conduct incident investigations, and track corrective actions.
- Management Systems & Operations: Support ISO 14001/45001 implementation, manage internal/external audits, deliver EHS training, and track performance metrics.
