Responsibilities
- Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs): Lead the evaluation of new projects, vendors, or technologies to identify and mitigate privacy risks before they are implemented.
- Data Mapping: Maintain and update comprehensive records of how personal data flows through systems, ensuring we know exactly where sensitive information resides.
- Incident Response Support: Assist in the investigation of potential data privacy incidents or breaches, coordinating with Information Security and Legal to manage notifications and remediation.
- Compliance Monitoring: Conduct regular audits of internal processes to ensure adherence to privacy policies and federal/state privacy regulations.
- Policy Development: Assist in drafting and updating privacy notices, internal handbooks, and data-handling guidelines.
