The AR Manager will oversee back-office operations, including supervising AR support staff and specialists, while providing accounting support across the organization. This role is essential to ensuring accurate billing, maintaining financial records, and managing collections processes efficiently and professionally. Responsibilities
- Oversee the full accounts receivable cycle, including invoicing, payment posting, and account reconciliation
- Manage collections efforts and follow up on past-due accounts in a professional and timely manner
- Communicate with customers regarding billing inquiries, payment status, and account discrepancies
- Maintain accurate customer records and ensure compliance with internal policies
- Prepare AR reports and aging schedules for management review
- Issue lien waivers according to state and local laws
- Collaborate with accounting and other departments to resolve billing issues and improve processes
- Ensure accurate data entry and system integrity within accounting software
- Overseeing the back office staff, including managing the specialist and exercising communication skills to manage a long-tenured employee.
- Handling collections and managing clients with delinquency.
- Managing various monthly, weekly, and 'as needed' progressive billing payments with various percentages of completion.
- Communicating with end users, including answering customer requests.
- Providing accounting support for the entire company.
