Randstad is seeking a contract accounts payable specialist based in Washington DC. This position would start remote then transition to hybrid (2 days onsite/ 3 days remote). Candidates must have solid AP Experience, a Bachelor's Degree, and Netsuite experience. Experience in the non-profit industry is preferred.

salary: $28 - $32 per hour

Responsibilities

• Invoicing & Payments: Receive, review, and process invoices, purchase orders, and check requests. Ensure all disbursements have proper authorization and supporting documentation.
• Vendor & Staff Relations: Proactively identify and resolve billing issues and respond to internal and external inquiries.
• Compliance & Documentation: Maintain current AP files, including Forms W-8 and W-9. Ensure all processes follow GAAP and non-profit accounting standards.
• Credit Card Management: Review and process employee credit card activity, produce journal entries, and reconcile related general ledger accounts.

Absolute Must-Haves (Required)

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Software Proficiency: Prior experience with NetSuite or cloud-based ERPs and high proficiency in MS Excel.

Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Haves)

• Non-Profit Experience: Familiarity with non-profit accounting.
• Software Plus: Experience with Procurify is a significant advantage ["AP Specialist Role Overview"].
