We are looking for a dedicated Subcontracts Administrator to join our team, act as a vital bridge between our project teams and external contractors, and foster high-performing project environments. What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)
- Experience: 5+ years of private sector contract/subcontract experience, with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience specifically focused on engineering/construction subcontracting activities within the oil and gas industry.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Mobility: Full willingness to travel to construction sites during execution phases.
- Core Competencies: Proven expertise in contract negotiation, resolving contract disputes, change order management, supplier relationship management, and risk mitigation.
- Technical & Soft Skills: solid written and verbal communication skills; top-tier time management; proficiency with core business software, specifically Google Workspace.
- Environment & Physical Demands: Comfort working in both office and dynamic construction site environments (involving standard amounts of standing, walking, sitting, and handling tools/materials).
- Impact: Take ownership of major industrial subcontract lifecycles from post-award to successful closeout.
- Collaboration: Work closely with high-performing teams, including Project Managers, Project Directors, and Legal teams.

Responsibilities
The Role: What You’ll Do
Reporting directly to the Director of Contracts, you will lead the post-award phases of the project subcontracts development process. This role isn't just about managing files; you will handle overall change order management, drive risk assessment, mitigate claims, and ensure safe, successful subcontract closures without litigation.
- Post-Award Execution: Lead all post-award negotiations and administer construction subcontracts in strict alignment with company guidelines.
- Change Order & Claim Management: Receive, analyze, and negotiate subcontractor change orders and claims; update and maintain meticulous project change order logs and subcontract plans.
- On-Site Presence: Organize, lead, and actively participate in Site meetings with Contractors.
- Risk & Compliance: Perform thorough subcontract risk assessments and ensure crucial subcontractor insurance, lien releases, and completion certificates are fully secured.
- Financial & Performance Tracking: Monitor and review subcontractor invoices, track project schedules and budgets alongside the project team, and review contractor reports to issue weekly/monthly updates.
- Relationship Management: Steward positive contract relationships, handle all formal subcontractor communications, and respond promptly to project inquiries.
- Close-out Excellence: Conduct subcontractor close-out evaluations and guarantee timely closeouts of all subcontract files.
