- Document Management: Draft, format, proofread, assemble, file, and serve legal documents (pleadings, motions, subpoenas, briefs with TOC/TOA, jury instructions).
- Court E-Filing: Efficiently handle e-filing in state, federal, and appellate courts utilizing standard legal court portals.
- Calendaring & Docketing: Maintain attorney calendars, track court dates, discovery deadlines, and meetings utilizing calendaring software.
- Admin & Client Care: Screen clients, answer phones/emails, prepare conflict reports, open new files, and manage correspondence.
- Experience: 5+ years of litigation legal assistant experience.
- Skills: strong court filing experience and knowledge of state/federal rules and legal terminology.
- Tech Savvy: Advanced skills in MS Office and word processing. Experience with major legal billing and document management software (like ProLaw or Worldox) is a strong plus.
- Soft Skills: Excellent typing, top-tier communication, and a team-player attitude.

Responsibilities
Document Management and Court Procedure:
Draft, format, proofread, assemble, file and serve legal documents such as pleadings,
motions, subpoenas, deposition notices, briefs with table of contents and table of authorities,
jury instructions, contracts, release agreements, and correspondence. Docket all court dates,
discovery deadlines, meetings and other deadlines utilizing our calendaring software.
Finalize and submit court documents to court or attorney service to ensure timely filing of all
court documents. Proficient with e-filing in state, federal and appellate courts.
Administrative Support:
Maintain attorney calendars, schedule and confirm meetings, depositions, examinations
under oath, court reporters, conference rooms and teleconferences, answer phones and
emails. Input client contact information, prepare conflict reports and open new files, set up
captions for new litigation, manage correspondence and maintain file.
Attorney and Client Interaction:
Serve as a vital link between attorneys and clients, greet visitors, conduct initial client
screenings, and relay messages. Work closely with attorneys to meet all deadlines. Interact
with clients, court staff, and other legal professionals.
