Responsibilities
Position Summary: Join a high-volume call center team providing dedicated phone support for the Summer EBT program. You will manage inbound inquiries, update application statuses, and accurately log details to assist families navigating financial benefit systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls and serve as the initial point of contact for application status inquiries and information updates.
- Deliver clear, objective, and accurate information regarding Summer EBT program requirements.
- Document all consumer interactions accurately inside the call tracking database.
- Note trends in inquiries and enter formal complaints in compliance with approved internal procedures.
- Navigate digital phone systems, software platforms, and database windows simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Escalate complex calls to leadership or external state agencies following proper protocols.
- Minimum 6 months of call center support experience OR an Associate's degree.
- Proven typing speed of at least 35 words per minute (WPM) with exceptional spelling and data entry accuracy.
- High proficiency using personal computers, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
- strong verbal communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and exercise self-control in stressful or difficult situations.
- Preferred: Knowledge of public health, human services, Medicaid, or CHIP systems; bilingual capabilities are a plus.
