- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Experience: 7+ years of progressive procurement and strategic sourcing experience.
- Category Expertise: Hands-on experience with indirect categories, facilities contracts, lab services, and supplier performance management.
- Technical Skills: strong proficiency in cost modeling, contract negotiations, dual sourcing, and risk assessment.
- Master’s degree (MBA/MS) or relevant supply chain certifications (e.g., CPM, CPSM, APICS).
- Experience in capital procurement (CapEx), facilities, or commercial real estate project management.
- Background in Pharma, Biotech, CDMO, or regulated GMP/cGMP manufacturing environments.
- Strategic Execution: Proven ability to build value pipelines, track cost drivers, and optimize working capital.
- Collaborative Leadership: Outstanding stakeholder engagement and change management skills with a bias for action.
- Commercial Acumen: Expertise in executing supplier management programs, resolving commercial disputes, and driving win-win negotiations.

Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Site Procurement Leadership: Lead procurement for indirect spend, lab-related services, facilities contracts, and scientific consumables for the Madison facility.
- Capital & Real Estate Initiatives: Serve as the Business Unit owner for Biologics procurement initiatives supporting capital projects (CapEx), site expansion, and network real estate programs.
- Commercial Negotiation & Savings: Negotiate competitive terms, expand spend under contract, drive cost optimization, and implement dual-sourcing strategies to maintain supply resilience.
- Supply Chain Risk & Continuity: Conduct vendor risk assessments, establish mitigation plans, and proactively resolve potential material supply shortages to eliminate production downtime.
- Value Creation & Financial Tracking: Develop and manage a strong pipeline of savings and cash flow opportunities. Provide value contribution and net-cost performance reporting to executive site leadership.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner seamlessly with Site Operations, Finance, Legal, and Global Procurement to maintain contract compliance and leverage enterprise-wide purchasing power.
