Responsibilities
Complete 20 to 35 patient registrations or pre-registrations per 8-hour shift, depending on department flow (Emergency, Outpatient, Admitting, or OB).
Verify insurance eligibility, explain out-of-pocket costs to patients, and secure upfront collections or set up payment plans.
Screen uninsured or self-pay patients for presumptive eligibility and uncompensated care programs.
Maintain 95%+ accuracy in demographic data entry, Medicare secondary payer forms, and consent signature collection.
Safeguard protected health information (PHI) with stringent adherence to all federal HIPAA laws.
Schedule medical procedures and manage patient check-in workflows seamlessly across multiple internal software systems
