Role Overview: We are urgently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for a full-time, on-site position. This role focuses heavily on financial decision support, budgeting, and performance analysis within a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate must possess deep, hands-on technical expertise in Power Query (the hiring manager’s top priority) and strongly prefers a background in acute-care hospital finance. Core Responsibilities: Manage the annual budgeting process, including volume, revenue, and expense planning. Perform month-end financial reviews, budget-to-actual variance analysis, and monthly reconciliations. Conduct labor and productivity analyses to identify operational trends and improvement opportunities. Develop advanced financial models, proformas, ROI analyses, and service-line analytics to support leadership in strategic decision-making. Use Power Query to gather, clean, transform, and analyze complex financial data. Leverage Power BI to create dashboards, visualize data, and support operational reporting. Required Qualifications & Experience: Experience: 5 years of relevant financial management, accounting, or decision support experience. Direct experience in an acute-care hospital or managed care environment is strongly preferred. Technical Skills: Expert-level, hands-on experience with Power Query (Required). proficiency in Power BI (Highly Desired). Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, complex financial modeling). Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (Candidates with 10–15 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree). MBA, Master’s, or CPA is a plus. Knowledge: understanding of GAAP and healthcare/hospital operations. Soft Skills: Highly analytical with the intellectual curiosity to investigate variances and underlying financial drivers. Self-starter capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and relationship-management skills to partner with clinical, operational, and leadership teams.
