The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience: 2–5+ years of experience in customer service, order management, or logistics coordination within the CPG, FMCG, or Manufacturing sectors.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Operations, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- System Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics). Familiarity with EDI order processing platforms (e.g., SPS Commerce, TrueCommerce).
- Location: Must be located in or within commuting distance of Stamford, CT.
Responsibilities
Order Processing & Account Management
- Receive and process customer purchase orders in compliance with company policies and customer specifications.
- Manage order changes, backorders, short shipments, and return material authorizations (RMAs).
- Monitor inventory availability across regional warehouses to fulfill orders accurately and on schedule.
- Coordinate outbound freight shipments with 3PL carriers, freight brokers, and internal transport teams.
- Track and trace shipments proactively, identifying and resolving delivery delays before they impact the customer.
- Manage shipping documentation (Bills of Lading, Packing Slips, Commercial Invoices).
- Review freight invoices for accuracy and track carrier performance metrics (On-Time Delivery, OTIF).
- Partner with Sales and Broker networks to provide accurate order status, lead times, and inventory updates.
- Resolve customer inquiries, shipping disputes, pricing discrepancies, and chargebacks promptly.
- Assist sales representatives with sample orders, customer onboarding, and specialized delivery routing guides.
