Responsibilities
- Coordinate weekly employee timecards with Operations and Accounting.
- Batch, export, and import payroll hours into Sage Payroll and reconcile totals for accuracy.
- Enter additional timecards, reimbursements, and payroll adjustments for Friday pay dates.
- Verify wage rates, overtime, employee classifications, deductions, and job coding.
- Generate weekly check registers, deposit summaries, and labor and job reports.
- Review subcontracts for certified payroll, public works and labor compliance project requirements.
- Prepare and submit weekly certified payroll reports using platforms such as LCPtracker, Elation Systems, and DIR eCPR.
- Maintain project reporting records and current union and prevailing wage rates.
- Prepare union benefit reports and reconcile contributions.
- Coordinate apprenticeship paperwork, including DAS 140 and DAS 142 forms when required.
- Process wage garnishments and government levies, maintain accurate records and remit withheld amounts.
- Maintain employees’ I-9 and W-4 forms and related payroll records; E-Verify all new employees.
- Resolve payroll and reporting questions with employees, field supervisors, unions, and general contractors.
- Complete monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll reconciliations and assist with audits and year-end close.
