If you are a mechanically-minded professional who enjoys solving complex problems on the factory floor and building client relationships, this is your next career move.
The Opportunity In this role, you will serve as the technical face of the organization, bridging the gap between product marketing and hands-on industrial application. You will be the "subject matter expert" for sophisticated installation machinery, ensuring that high-volume manufacturers have the tools and hardware they need to maintain peak production.
Who You Are
- A Technical Problem Solver: You have a natural ability to read technical drawings, interpret assembly concepts, and understand the manufacturing processes required to create precision parts.
- Mechanically Inclined: You are comfortable working with hand tools, calibrating machinery, and troubleshooting robotic integrations.
- Analytical: You can comfortably apply concepts of algebra and geometry to calculate dimensions, volume, and proportions to ensure proper hardware fit.
- Customer-Centric: You possess excellent communication skills and the "consultative" mindset needed to recommend the right technical solutions to clients.
- North American Traveler: You are excited by the prospect of frequent travel across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico to visit diverse manufacturing environments and partner with clients on-site.
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in technical sales, field service, or application engineering—ideally within the fasteners, mechanical components, or industrial hardware sectors.
- Education: High School Diploma required; a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Technical Savvy: Proficiency in MS Office Suite and the ability to learn proprietary equipment software.
- Language Skills: While English is the primary language, additional languages are a plus for coordinating with international sites.
- Physical Readiness: Ability to work in a warehouse/industrial environment, lift up to 25 pounds, and navigate manufacturing floors safely.
salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per year
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 4:30 PM
education: High School
Responsibilities
- Strategic Account Representation: Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, managing the full-cycle sale of automated fastener installation systems, specialized hardware, and value-added tooling components.
- Technical Solutions Consulting: Provide pre-sales engineering support to prospective clients, including the integration of automated hardware systems into existing robotics and assembly lines.
- On-Site Systems Implementation: Lead hands-on equipment installations, precision calibrations, and production validation runs at customer facilities to ensure operational readiness.
- Lifecycle Technical Support: Execute post-installation services, including preventative maintenance, mechanical repairs, and the identification of additional hardware or service needs to optimize client production.
- Systems Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to manufacturing equipment and industrial assembly systems.
- Field Engagement: Travel to various client sites across the U.S. to provide direct technical expertise and equipment oversight.
- Operational Agility: Support various organizational needs and management initiatives as required to ensure customer success.
