Job Overview Are you a natural leader who isn't afraid to get your hands dirty? We are seeking a Hands-On Maintenance Supervisor to lead our elite maintenance team. This is a dynamic, dual-impact role split between the production floor and the office. You will supervise shift mechanics, execute maintenance plans, and personally solve complex mechanical issues when the team needs an expert hand.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Safety: Supervise, mentor, and ensure the absolute safety of the maintenance staff in accordance with company policies and compliance laws.
- Training & Development: Lead the onboarding and technical training of all new maintenance personnel assigned to your shift.
- Operational Execution: Direct daily workflows, schedule shift tasks, appraise team performance, and execute management's preventative maintenance strategies.
- Hands-On Support: Regularly perform complex preventative maintenance and emergency repairs personally when advanced troubleshooting is required on the floor.
- Emergency Readiness: Remain reasonably available to be contacted by maintenance staff and respond to the facility during critical equipment failures.
- Physical & Environmental Execution: Comfortably work on ladders, scissor lifts, and scaffolding; safely navigate electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and gas systems. Regularly lift 10 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Leadership Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience leading or supervising a maintenance staff specifically within an Industrial Manufacturing Environment.
- Technical Expertise: Minimum 3 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience (electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics).
- Language Skills: bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred, but not required.
- Mindset: A proactive communicator, master problem solver, and a leader who leads by example.
