At Randstad, we are partnering with a leading manufacturer in the Morgan Hill area to find an experienced Maintenance Technician II. Our client is a dynamic player in the industry, and they are looking for a self-motivated technician who can work with minimal supervision to keep their automated production facility operating safely and efficiently.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Experience: 3+ years of maintenance experience in a high-volume production environment (experience in composite manufacturing is a major plus!).
- Technical Chops: Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using multimeters, calipers, drills, grinders, and manual machining/welding tools.
- PLC & Schematics Savvy: Proven ability to read blueprints/schematics and a solid understanding of PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- The Essentials: High school diploma or equivalent, basic math/computer skills (MS Office, Adobe, and CMMS software), and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
- Adaptability: A team player who is comfortable working flexible hours, including weekends or overtime, to support a 24/7 operation.

Responsibilities
- Equipment Repair: Install, diagnose, and repair production machinery and facility systems to ensure maximum uptime.
- Electrical & Automation: Perform low/high-voltage electrical troubleshooting and analyze PLC systems to resolve automated machinery faults.
- Preventative Maintenance: Execute predictive and preventative maintenance routines in alignment with TPM methodologies.
- Engineering Collaboration: Partner with process engineering to analyze performance, diagnose issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Data Logging: Collect and maintain accurate daily logs detailing maintenance actions, parts usage, and equipment repairs.
- Safety & Compliance: Execute Lock-out/Tag-out (LOTO) protocols, utilize proper PPE, and safely dispose of hazardous waste.
- Workspace Order: Secure tools and maintain a clean workspace in compliance with 3S/5S standards.
- Inventory Control: Monitor and organize spare parts inventory to ensure maintenance supplies are adequately stocked.
- Escalation & Teamwork: Communicate across departments and promptly escalate critical production blocks to leadership.
