Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:
- Understands and administers Preventive Maintenance system and its implementation. Reviews work logs, work orders, PM sheets.
- Ensure that all equipment failures are attended immediately by assigning the right person and demonstrating a high sense of urgency.
- Ensure that all Preventative Maintenance Activities are efficiently and adequately performed and completed in a timely manner before due date.
- Conducts spot checks for PM completion
- Completes all necessary paperwork related to planned and unplanned work performed.
- Works closely with the Operations, Process and Maintenance Manager and other departments in order to eliminate downtime and to improve operational efficiencies.
- Maintains and controls shop part inventory.
- Adheres and operates within the prescribed budget limits set forth for the Maintenance Manager.
- Works from manufacturer’s manuals and specifications to keep equipment and machinery in proper working condition.
- Assure all critical and spare parts for equipment are readily available. Researches and requests repair parts as necessary.
- Ensures proper planning and tracking of installation, maintenance, and repairs to machinery, equipment, physical structures and electrical systems in the manufacturing facility and offices.
- Schedules and coordinates work completed by maintenance mechanics and outside vendors.
