Responsibilities
You are a senior journeyman machinist with 5+ years solid off-line programming experience using Surfcam, Solidworks or Mastercam. You can look at a job and define the process sequence, conduct your team meeting, delegate responsibilities effectively and follow up so that the job is done on time and in-spec. You can quickly design tooling to meet the appropriate production requirements. You make your program edits and changes off-line and generate necessary material/tooling BOMs. You work without micro-management, are accountable for your successes and learn from your mistakes. You arrive promptly for work and are a big presence in our facility. Set-up Person You have solid training and experience operating CNC mills, lathes or horizontals. You are careful but confident and can set up workholding, consumable tooling/tool holders and set offsets. You can take direction from the lead but perform the task with independence. You delegate jobs effectively to the team apprentice and have the rare ability to turn the task into a learning experience. You are the glue that holds the team together, and we see that.
