About Us [Company Name] is a premier commercial print provider in the Twin Cities metro. We are seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Lead Offset Pressman to oversee multi-color press operations, maintain high color standards, and keep production moving efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Press Operation: Set up, adjust, and operate multi-color sheetfed/web offset presses (e.g., Heidelberg, Komori, Manroland) per job tickets.
- Color & Quality Control: Maintain ink-and-water balance, proper register, and precise color consistency using spectro/densitometers.
- Maintenance & Setup: Perform routine preventative press maintenance, roller settings, plate changes, and basic troubleshooting to limit downtime.
- Team Leadership: Work closely with and guide 2nd-shift press helpers and second pressmen.
- Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and OSHA-compliant work environment.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience operating multi-color offset presses.
- Deep knowledge of ink-water balance, paper stock behavior, and automated press controls.
- strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent color vision and ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
