Responsibilities
Day-to-Day Duties:
- Set up, program, and operate 3-axis CNC machining centers to perform facing, drilling, tapping, pocketing, slotting, boring, and threading.
- Operate essential manual equipment, including manual lathes, drill presses, and horizontal/vertical band saws.
- Calculate and measure outside/inside diameters, depths, angles, flatness, and thickness to produce quality, tight-tolerance parts.
- Utilize calipers, micrometers, and other precision inspection equipment to conduct quality control checks.
- Prepare and deliver parts to the QC department in a timely manner, optimizing efficiency and minimizing waste.
- Apply 5S methodology daily to maintain a safe, highly organized, and efficient workspace.
- Accurately record production quantities and data on control plans.
- For Senior candidates: Perform complex 3- and 5-axis machine setups without assistance, train junior operators, troubleshoot production KPIs, and step into lead responsibilities when needed.
