Responsibilities
- Load raw materials into CNC machines manually or using hoists/cranes.
- Set up CNC machinery by loading tools, adjusting feeds/speeds, and setting workpiece zero positions.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job specifications to determine tooling and processing sequences.
- Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions, tool wear, or out-of-tolerance machining.
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspection of finished parts using precision measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, dial indicators, and CMMs).
- Adjust offsets and G-code/M-code parameters as needed to ensure part dimensions remain within strict tolerance limits.
- Perform daily routine machine maintenance, including checking coolant levels, lubricating slides, and clearing metal chips/shavings.
- Keep workspace clean, organized, and free of hazard conditions (following 5S / lean manufacturing principles).
- Comply strictly with all company safety regulations, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, and OSHA procedures.
- Document inspection findings, quality logs, and production output accurately.
