The Quick Details
- Role: Desktop Support Technician / Helpdesk
- Experience: 1+ years in an IT support environment
- Environment: Fast-paced, onsite walk-up support, and remote troubleshooting
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot both in-house and third-party software applications.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware on laptops and desktops.
- Image, configure, and deploy fresh desktops and laptops directly to end-users.
- Set up, configure, and troubleshoot virtual machines (VMs).
- Configure and support mobile devices, including iPhones, iPads, and other peripheral tech.
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues for users working both onsite and remotely.
- Support the IT Walkup Area where end-users come face-to-face to get their issues resolved.
- Engage with and escalate tickets to senior technicians when you hit a roadblock.
- Work with other IT teams on special projects and collaborative cases.
- Handle other physical work onsite when needed (deploying/moving equipment, setups, etc.).
- Complete other tasks as necessary to keep the environment running smoothly.
qualifications:
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience working in an IT support environment.
Core Technical Skills: Helpdesk, End-User Support, and Desktop Support.
Strong Professional Traits:
Organizational & Interpersonal skills
Customer Service skills & Team mentality
Annotation skills (keeping great notes/documentation!)
Problem-Solving skills
Bonus Points (Desired Skills & Experience)
Experience with ServiceNow is a big plus!
Any IT Certifications are a plus.
Completed Training Courses or Boot Camps are a plus.
