We're looking for a detail-oriented self-starter who can support attorneys with all aspects of trust and probate administration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including drafting legal documents, managing financial records, communicating with clients and courts, and ensuring all deadlines are met. You must have excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. We will also consider a Legal Assistant with probate experience. Draft a variety of legal documents, including correspondence, probate pleadings, and financial spreadsheets. Assist with the preparation of annual accountings and review financial records such as bank statements. Maintain and organize client files, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date. Provide administrative support, including calendar management and communication with clients and other parties involved in legal proceedings. Communicate with courts and government agencies regarding case status and deadlines. Collect and review documents to determine asset ownership and property interests. Collaborate with personal representatives and other legal professionals to meet all case deadlines. Manage estate accounts and facilitate bill payments for the estate, conservatorship, or guardianship. Qualifications Previous experience as a legal assistant or paralegal, specifically in probate. Will consider litigation and estate planning experience. Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively while handling multiple tasks and deadlines. Collaboration and communication abilities, with a focus on clear and concise writing. High level of attention to detail and outstanding proofreading skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and various legal software.
