Responsible for equipment reliability, production uptime, and adhering to strict food safety and quality standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair bakery equipment: mixers, ovens, conveyors, packaging gear, and refrigeration. Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on production machinery. Perform routine PM checks to ensure peak performance and minimize downtime. Replace/repair parts (bearings, filters, wiring, valves, switches) and adjust control instruments. Observe/listen to machines in operation to locate and fix root causes of trouble. Lubricate, clean, and test machines to verify performance after repairs. Use CMMS to document work orders, process sheets, and safety checks. Communicate shift actions and irregularities to maintain continuity. Recommend equipment improvements to enhance quality and productivity. Remain available for on-call shifts and emergencies to keep production running. Follow all safety rules (LOTO) and GMP/OSHA regulations for food safety. Maintain a clean, organized workshop. Qualifications: High School diploma; 5+ years in industrial maintenance (Food/Bakery preferred). Experience with equipment up to 480V; able to read electrical/mechanical drawings. Proficient in Microsoft Office. NJ Boiler License preferred, not required.
