job summary: A CNC Operator is needed for a technology company that designs and manufactures connectors and sensors for several industries, such as automotive, industrial equipment, data communication systems, and more, in the Grayslake, IL area. This role requires a high school diploma and at least two years of experience setting up and operating CNC machines (preferably Haas) to produce precision parts based on blueprint specifications.   location: Grayslake, Illinois job type: Contract salary: $18.57 - 20.00 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: High School   responsibilities: Execute CNC machine setups using basic programming commands and tool offsets.Fabricate components by reading and interpreting blueprints, mechanical drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM).Prepare, load, and secure raw materials onto CNC machinery for processing.Perform tooling changes and adjustments to maintain precision and machine efficiency.Collaborate with the Quality department to conduct in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gages.Ensure production output meets or exceeds established company productivity standards.Identify and communicate discrepancies in drawings or BOMs to the Cell Lead.Operate air and power tools safely while adhering to all facility safety protocols.Maintain a clean and organized workspace by returning tools and supplies to designated locations daily.Document work progress and utilize Excel for basic data entry and production tracking.Apply mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills to solve machining problems independently. The CNC Operator I produces machined parts by operating a computer numerical controlled (CNC) Lathes and/or Mills with minimal supervision. This position runs production lots, keeps records, communicates with co-workers and managers regarding production runs, and maintains quality and safety standards. 1st Shift = Monday to Friday / 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM 2nd Shift = Monday to Thursday / 3:30PM to 2:00 AM Pay: $20-22 per hour  Type: Direct Hire / Full-Time Employment Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Assure quality by inspecting finished parts; report irregularities or tolerance deviations to supervisor or quality control personnel. Perform tool wear offsets or change inserts to meet tolerance requirements. Monitor progress toward, and meet production goals. Follow, create and help maintain work instructions; complete required daily paperwork. Maintain equipment and worksite by completing housekeeping, preventive maintenance and daily inspection tasks.
