A very well respected boutique plaintiff's firm is seeking adding a Trial Attorney to their team. In this role you will represent victimes and families in Elder Abuse and Wrongful Death cases. This firm is very selective about the cases they take on, the cases are typically 7-8 figure cases. You would have a case load of 20 cases. Work is in office 5 days/week. Position requires (a) an active license to practice law in California; (b) 4+ years of civil litigation experience; (c) first chair trial experience. Salary of $140-195K DOE + annual bonus + comprehensive benefits (401K, health, dental and vision insurance, etc).salary: $140,000 - $195,000 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 5 PMeducation: BachelorsResponsibilitiesLegal Representation: Provide legal representation for victims and their families in wrongful death and elder abuse, neglect, financial exploitation, and other forms of mistreatment for all phases of litigation and through trial. Case Management: Manage a caseload of elder abuse cases, from pre-litigation through trial, conducting thorough investigations, executing an organized discovery and trial plan, gathering evidence, and collaborating with health care providers, consultants, and experts while also implementing a strong settlement strategy parallel to working up cases for trial. The ideal candidate has trial and arbitration experience. Discovery Expertise: Experience with creating a discovery plan, executing on discovery, diligent meet and confer follow-up and filing of discovery motions, taking and defending all types of witness depositions, experience with ESI discovery and use of e-Discovery platforms.
