This position requires a detail oriented, proactive and self-motivated person with a working knowledge of manufacturing and distribution. Responsibilities will include the timely processing of parts and materials through the QC Receiving, QC In-process and part Qualification processes. The Quality Control Inspector will champion all quality tasks and processes for our Fort Mill, South Carolina facility. The QC Inspector will act as the department’s representative when working with suppliers, customers, auditors, inspectors, fabrication personnel and packaging/shipping personnel. High level quality issues are escalated to the Operations Manager and Quality Manager for formal resolutions and path forward instructions (i.e. formal rejections and Corrective Actions).salary: $22 - $27 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 7 AM - 3:30 PMeducation: BachelorsResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities Inspections & Metrology: Perform QC Receiving inspections on tooling and materials. Execute in-process inspections using advanced measurement gauges and GD&T principles. PPAP Management: Create and track manufacturing/distribution PPAP submissions per AIAG 4th Edition guidelines, including PSWs, Control Plans, and PFMEAs. Technical Support: Provide measurement feedback and CPK capability data to the Inside Sales Team during contract and drawing reviews. Non-Conformance & Root Cause: Lead the processing of non-conforming materials and drive 8D Root Cause Corrective Actions in collaboration with HQ Quality leadership. Documentation & Calibration: Sustain ERP quality forms (Infor CSI), maintain issue logs, and manage gauge calibrations and machine validations. Process Improvement: Support run-rate evaluations and efficiency improvements while ensuring clear communication of quality alerts to the production floor. Qualifications & Skills Blueprint Mastery: Advanced ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T. Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 QMS requirements and AIAG core tools (FMEA, SPC, MSA). Software Proficiency: Expert in Excel, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and ERP systems (Infor CSI preferred). Experience with InspectionXpert is a major plus. Analytics: Skilled in performing CPK Studies and Gauge R&R to ensure process stability.
