We are looking for a highly skilled Tool and Mold Maker to join our precision manufacturing team in Riverside, CA. This role requires extensive experience in custom injection molding and the ability to fabricate, maintain, and repair complex molds. The ideal candidate takes extreme pride in their craftsmanship, working with tolerances measured in the thousandths of an inch to support high-quality production environments.salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 6 AM - 2:30 PMeducation: High SchoolResponsibilities Build, assemble, and disassemble new molds from blueprints, CAD drawings, or 3D models (SolidWorks preferred). Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair worn or damaged tools, including polishing, spotting, and weld repairs. Program and operate CNC and manual machinery to create electrodes, mold inserts, and mold bases. Operate Tool Room equipment including manual/CNC mills, lathes, surface grinders, and EDM (wire and sinker). Perform precision surface grinding on all types of mold components, including bypass and angle shutoffs. Utilize EDM machines to create intricate cavity and part details in tooling components. Interpret complex engineering drawings, applying GD&T knowledge to ensure all components meet print dimensions. Collaborate with engineers and molding technicians to resolve defects such as flash, warping, or short shots. Perform calculations to determine setups, dimensions, and necessary operations for tooling components. Maintain detailed records of time and materials used for each project. Bonus Skills (Preferred) Experience with hot runner systems (e.g., Husky, Mold-Masters). Background in medical device tooling or ISO 13485 regulated environments. Experience with overmolding, multi-shot, or insert molding.
