Key Responsibilities 1. Full-Cycle Accounting General Ledger Management: Maintain a complete and accurate general ledger; perform monthly and year-end closings. Accounts Payable (AP): Manage the end-to-end AP process, including vendor setup, invoice coding, and payment scheduling. Accounts Receivable (AR): Oversee billing, cash applications, and collections; monitor aging reports to ensure timely payments. Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile all bank accounts, credit cards, and loan statements on a monthly basis. 2. Payroll & Compliance Process bi-weekly/monthly payroll and ensure all payroll tax filings are accurate and timely. Prepare and file sales and use tax returns in compliance with local and state regulations. Coordinate with external CPAs for annual tax preparation and audits. 3. Financial Reporting Generate monthly financial statements, including Balance Sheets, Income Statements (P&L), and Cash Flow Statements. Monitor budget-to-actual variances and report discrepancies to management. Maintain an organized digital and physical filing system for all financial records. Qualifications Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Experience: 5+ years of experience in full-cycle bookkeeping or as a Full Charge Bookkeeper. Software Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of QuickBooks (Desktop or Online) or similar ERP systems (Sage, NetSuite, Xero). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs). Technical Skills: Deep understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
