A premier life sciences leader in Madison, WI is seeking a dedicated Biology Expert 1 to join their dynamic R&D team for a 6-month contract opportunity. Working on-site on a standard day shift (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with potential flexibility), you will perform and analyze cutting-edge experiments supporting and expanding advanced in vitro nucleic acid delivery technologies.

responsibilities:
- Execute and analyze laboratory experiments to support new and existing transfection technologies and products.
- Conduct cell biology assays (transfections, flow cytometry, luciferase expression) and support recombinant virus production (lentivirus, AAV).
- Perform molecular biology techniques, including ELISAs, Lumits, and qPCR/ddPCR.
- Maintain meticulous electronic laboratory notebooks and strictly adhere to BSL-2 safety guidelines.
- Present experimental data and actively participate in R&D group discussions.
qualifications:
Required:
- Associate's or Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology or a related scientific discipline.
- Solid understanding of core cell biology and molecular biology principles.
- Ability to work effectively on-site in Madison, WI within a BSL-2 laboratory setting.
- Prior hands-on academic or industry laboratory experience.
- Familiarity with transfection techniques, flow cytometry, or qPCR/ddPCR protocols.
