responsibilities:
- Independently initiate, execute, and complete routine in vivo rodent studies with minimal supervision.
- Develop, validate, and support rodent models for cardiometabolic diseases.
- Perform dosing procedures (oral gavage, IP/IV/SC), physiological monitoring, and biological sample collection.
- Conduct functional assessments, including blood pressure measurements, telemetry, and renal function assays.
- Analyze biological samples using qPCR, ELISA, histology, and biomarker assays.
- Maintain high-quality documentation and ensure strict compliance with IACUC protocols.
qualifications:
- Master's Degree with 2-3 years of experience OR Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of experience in a related scientific discipline.
- Strong background in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CRO environments.
- Proven experience in designing and executing in vivo studies, including daily handling and restraint of small laboratory animals (rats/mice).
- Proficiency in dosing procedures (oral gavage, IP/IV/SC injections).
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and stand/work under a biosafety hood for >2 hours.
- Flexibility to support weekend work as needed.
