responsibilities:
- Perform standard microbiological testing, including preservative effectiveness, microbial limits testing, and time-kill kinetic studies.
- Support Consumer Brands innovation across core product lines such as soaps and dish soaps.
- Prepare large volumes of microbiological media and safely operate lab equipment, including autoclaves.
- Safely handle live microorganisms in strict accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Conduct basic testing, manage laboratory equipment sanitation, and accurately report results.
- Work independently on lab tasks following the successful completion of initial training.
qualifications:
Required:
- Background in microbiology, through hands-on laboratory experience, a life sciences degree with microbiology coursework, or enrollment in a microbiology degree program with foundational lab courses.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safely handle live microorganisms.
- Capacity to operate laboratory equipment such as autoclaves and prepare testing media.
- Strong organizational skills to manage laboratory sanitation and deliver accurate testing reports.
