Our client, a leader in the entertainment industry is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer. Key qualifications include, Five (5) or more years of design experience as a Designer or degreed Engineer in a design environment working in a multi?discipline, technical, team setting. Two (2) or more years of college (mechanical engineering or engineering technology courses) preferably with an Associates or higher-level degree, or equivalent work experience.

responsibilities:
- Core CAD & Design Execution: Creates, details, and updates conceptual/production mechanical drawings for Ride & Show systems, ensuring alignment with Design Drawing Legacy and proper archival in the EDMS.
- Engineering & Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborates closely with internal Engineering, Project Management, and shop/vendor teams to develop design packages, participate in reviews, and establish milestone strategies.
- Technical Lead & Vendor Management: Serves as the primary mechanical design lead, overseeing production, integration, and testing, while verifying that vendor and shop outputs conform strictly to design specs.
- Compliance, Materials & Standards: Researches historical data, selects appropriate materials/processes, and ensures all drawings comply with internal Disney standards, industry codes, and state-specific ride laws.
- Team Mentorship & Continuous Learning: Stays updated on emerging technologies and best practices, completes engineered redlines, and mentors junior staff on internal Disney system applications.
