Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the general ledger; prepare and post monthly journal entries for accruals, prepayments, and allocations.
• Assist in the timely execution of the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Perform monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and balance sheet accounts; investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
• Assist in preparing financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement) and variance analysis reports for management review.
• Support the annual external audit process by preparing required schedules and documentation. Assist with sales tax filings and local tax compliance as needed.
• Provide oversight or backup support for AP/AR functions, including vendor invoice verification and collections tracking.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance internal controls, and maximize efficiency within the accounting software.
