Position Type: Full-Time (Specialized Individual Contributor & Leadership Pipeline)
We are seeking a highly specialized Staff Strategic Sourcing Analyst to serve as a technical thought leader in our procurement division. In this role, you will manage complex portfolios (70% current products, 30% New Product Introduction) by securing favorable terms, volume discounts, and long-term contracts for custom-engineered products, technical equipment, systems, and software.
This is a high-visibility role designed as a direct pipeline into future Sourcing Manager positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Data-Driven Negotiations: Lead advanced data analysis on supplier performance and internal/external cost structures to build robust, data-backed cases for cost reduction.
- Advanced Cost Modeling: Create dynamic cost models detailing how variables (volume, spend growth, material shifts) impact cost and profit. Leverage AI tools to optimize modeling and analysis.
- Sourcing Execution: Issue RFQs, facilitate auctions, generate "should-cost" requests, and translate ambiguous data from disparate systems into actionable insights and executive presentations.
- Contract & Supplier Management: Process requisitions/POs for highly technical components. Review claims for policy conformance, resolve delivery defects, and negotiate refunds.
- Market Intelligence: Maintain deep expertise in technology trends, market forces, and supplier technology roadmaps to provide technical guidance and strategic recommendations.
- Experience: 6+ years of experience in supplier selection, performance management, and cost modeling.
- Education: Advanced college degree (Master's/MBA) or equivalent extensive experience in a highly specialized technical or procurement field.
- Technical Savvy: Proven experience leveraging AI tools for data analysis, forecasting, or sourcing scope.
- Execution: Exceptional analytical skills and evaluative judgment. Ability to juggle a high volume of concurrent tasks (e.g., executing multiple RFQs while managing independent analytical projects).
- Communication: Elite written and oral communication skills; ability to "tell a story" through complex data and visuals.

Responsibilities
- Lead data analysis for cost reduction & supplier performance improvements
o Analyze supplier performance details and trends
o Analyze internal and external cost details to identify opportunities and build strong data driven cases to support cost negotiations
o Create cost models for supplier price structures. Develop models detailing impact on variables to cost and profit including things on volume/spend growth and impact on material price changes
o Utilize AI in modeling and analysis
o Issue RFQs, facilitate & lead auctions, and generate should cost requests
o Analyze results from above and provide summary and recommendations to sourcing managers
o Develop negotiation fact sets and presentations to support supplier negotiations
