In this vital role, you will handle the heartbeat of the casino’s financial operations. You’ll be split between the casino floor—executing the secure collection and transport of funds—and the secure Count Room, utilizing high-speed processing equipment. Responsibilities
1. The Drop Phase (Floor Operations)
- Box Extraction: Navigate the casino floor with a security escort to unlock slot machines, table games, and cash kiosks to remove the "hot" (full) cash boxes.
- Replacements: Securely insert empty "cold" boxes back into the machines and ensure the machine doors are locked and functioning properly.
- Secure Transport: Load heavy cash boxes onto specialized, locked carts and transport them along pre-approved casino routes directly to the secured Count Room.
- Currency Processing: Open the dropped boxes, sort the contents by denomination, and run them through high-speed currency counters and jet-sort machinery.
- Strapping & Bundling: Legitimize and organize cash by banding it into standardized straps and bundles for final vault storage.
- Voucher Management: Sort and scan casino gaming vouchers/tickets, verifying that the digital system logs match the physical paper count.
- Data Verification: Balance and record incoming cash totals into the Casino Management System, checking for variances or discrepancies.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere strictly to Gaming Control Board regulations, Tribal Gaming Minimum Internal Controls (TICS), and Title 31 (Anti-Money Laundering regulations).
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean and perform minor maintenance on automated counting scales, currency discriminators, and shredders to keep them operating smoothly.
