We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable Receiving Clerk to join our fast-paced food manufacturing plant. In this role, you will be the crucial first line of defense for our supply chain, ensuring that all incoming raw ingredients, packaging materials, and plant supplies meet strict safety, quality, and quantity standards before entering our inventory.

Key Responsibilities
- Inbound Inspection: Inspect incoming shipments of raw food materials and packaging for damage, pest activity, correct temperature, and freshness.
- Document Verification: Match physical deliveries against purchase orders, bills of lading (BOL), and Certificates of Analysis (COA) to ensure accurate counts and specs.
- Food Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to Food Safety, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, and USDA/FDA regulatory guidelines.
- System Entry: Log received inventory accurately into our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) / Warehouse Management System (WMS) in real time.
- Material Handling: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to unload trucks and stage materials in temperature-controlled storage areas (cooler, freezer, dry warehouse).
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Communicate discrepancies, damaged goods, or delayed shipments immediately to Quality Assurance (QA) and Purchasing teams.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of receiving or warehouse experience, preferably in food manufacturing, beverage, or pharmaceutical industries.
- Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards.
- Basic computer proficiency (ERP/WMS software, Microsoft Excel/Word).
- strong attention to detail and math skills for inventory counts.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying temperatures (coolers/freezers).

- Inspection & Quality Control: Check items for physical damage, defects, or incorrect items. Reject damaged deliveries and document issues with vendors.
- Verification & Matching: Match delivery documents (packing slips) against internal purchase orders (POs) in the Inventory Management System/ERP to ensure complete and accurate orders.
- Inventory Entry & Tagging: Scan or enter incoming goods into the warehouse management software, tag items with barcodes/labels, and log any discrepancies.
- Storage & Distribution: Transport checked goods to their proper designated stockroom, warehouse shelf, or department destination.
- Documentation & Coordination: Maintain organized logs of receipts, prepare damage reports, and collaborate with purchasing or accounts payable to resolve billing/delivery discrepancies.
