Responsibilities
Own the complete sales cycle for freight forwarding and logistics solutions
Prospect, sell, and close accounts
Cultivate trust and long-term relationships with clients
Develop and execute strategic business development plans across International & Domestic Air, Sea, Ground transportation, Customs Compliance, and Value-Added Logistics solutions
Build and expand a pipeline of high-value clients in all pertinent business sectors
Structure competitive pricing and services for complex, high-value shippers
Work closely with operations and senior management to support sales activities
Qualifications & Skills Needed:
5+ years of proven business development or sales experience in freight forwarding
Extensive knowledge of freight forwarding
Existing base of freight forwarding clients
Excellent consulting, selling, negotiation, and relationship-management skills
Deep working knowledge of International and Domestic Air Freight, Domestic Ground, FCL/LCL Sea Freight, Customs Compliance and Brokerage, and Value-Added Logistics services
Demonstrated success negotiating rates, responding to RFQs and RFPs
Established client relationships and familiar with the network within the freight forwarding industry
Perform other duties as assigned
