Randstad Digital is seeking a Senior Business Analyst with 10-15 years of deep foundational experience to support critical initiatives within our client's Digital Technology - Safety & Security team. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of IT Systems Design & Development, this role will drive requirements gathering, current/future-state process flow mapping, and product lifecycle management (PLM) documentation for major active projects, including the BCIC PM and Salesforce Approt PM initiatives. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of facilitating stakeholder workshops, modeling complex operational workflows, and unblocking project momentum in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

responsibilities:
- Requirements Engineering & Elicitation: Lead stakeholder workshops and JAD sessions to elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements across active Safety & Security initiatives.
- Process Mapping & Workflow Optimization: Map end-to-end current-state and future-state operational process flows using Microsoft Visio and BPMN standards to streamline business systems.
- System Implementation & Integration Support: Partner closely with internal technical development teams and third-party platform vendors to support system rollouts, user acceptance testing (UAT), and release readiness.
- PLM & Lifecycle Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) documentation, business requirement documents (BRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria in Jira and Confluence.
- Stakeholder Alignment & Change Facilitation: Act as a primary liaison between business SMEs, field officers, and IT systems leadership to maintain project momentum and align delivery with organizational goals.
qualifications:
Experience: 10-15+ years of hands-on experience as a Senior Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst driving enterprise technology projects (Product Owner backgrounds with strong BA fundamentals are welcome).
Core Tooling: Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Visio (or Lucidchart) for workflow diagramming, alongside Jira, Confluence, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Methodologies: Strong background in Agile, Hybrid, and Waterfall delivery models, with demonstrated success writing epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Domain Experience (Nice-to-Have): Prior experience with Salesforce platform implementations, Everbridge, or public safety, physical security, or risk management technology systems is highly desirable.
Communication & Facilitation: Exceptional workshop facilitation, stakeholder management, and written/verbal communication skills.
Location & Travel Requirements: Based in the DMV area or along the Northeast Corridor (NEC). Willingness to travel (~10%) for monthly team all-hands meetings (DC, Philly, or Wilmington) and occasional 2-3 day requirements workshops (e.g., DC, Philly, Wilmington, Chicago).
